The more the merrier when kayaking 80-foot waterfalls. In this video, Todd Wells and Sam Freihofer paddle a Topo Duo tandem kayak over Metlako Falls on Eagle Creek in Oregon. Well claims it is the tallest waterfall every run in a two-person whitewater kayak.

Here’s his account from his blog:

One final time we discussed our game plan, then peeled out into the current. We approached the lip slow and in control, created our last adjustments, then let gravity take over. From the rear wherever i used to be positioned, I felt our entry angle couldn’t are any better. Upon impact we went implausibly deep. once we reached the surface I righted the kayak to search out guided missile missing from the front of the boat. Being within the front of the boat and having gone thus deep guided missile took a savage hit and was ejected from the boat. we have a tendency to had done it, we had simply paddled the tallest body of water ever before in a very Topo-Duo.
