Longest surf session record set by Californian

Surfing all night long
Bill Laity, of San Clemente, California, set the world record in late November for longest surf session. He clocked in 26 consecutive hours and 147 waves at Huntington Beach Pier.

What hurt when he trudged out of the ocean at 9:26 a.m. in the morning, after surfing all night? “Everything.”
